Adding Modules to the Basic System
Morris County, New Jersey, County Clerk Joan Bramhall implemented what many of her fellow clerks around the country are implementing, and then added a twist. As part of an Official Records System from NewVision Systems that intakes, cashiers, scans, indexes, verifies and manually redacts recordable documents such as mortgages and deeds, she added a number of other modules offered by NewVision.
The additional modules include a Passport and Back Fill modules. The Passport module expedites the process of applying for a passport by automating virtually the entire process, including generation of the end-of-day transmittal forms. The Back Fill module has enabled Bramhall and her staff to scan and index tens of thousands of old records.
All public records are available via public work stations at the Clerk's office, or via the Internet.
